The signing of an investment contract and treatment of gas in the field of Halfayaenergy 300(MCF)

to implement the plan to develop the gas industry in IRAQ and investment and stop burning .the minister said that this project was held between the two companies petrochina and (CPECC) China of the projects important for the development of the gas industry in Iraq. Where it will provide gas investment  300(MSCf )b /d.

Noting that the Ministry of oil has other large projects in addition to this project in the field of Artawi with a production of 400 MSCF b/d followed by a third stage of gas investment 200 MSCF b/d.

He added that the ministry confirms its keenness to stop the burning of gas as well as the ministry’s efforts to return in the field of AKKAS and the use of fuel in all industries .the minister expressed his thanks and appreciation the  committee  on oil and energy parliament and the local government  in the province of Missan.

It is certain that the files of the ministry and its projects implemented transparently and that any comment is processed under the control of the ministry and contracts subject to the  approval of the committee on energy and the council of ministers.

Mr. moatassemAkram undersecretary of the ministry said that contract is important because it will provide 300 MSCF b/d from the field of Halfaya oil in the province of Missan this step is important to raise national production and meet the needs of power plants  in the country  pointing out that the signing of the contract for the development and investment of gas in the right was between petrochina and the company CPECC Chinese in addition to signing mem0randum between MOC and petrochina to ensure the specifications required within the contract chinese Ambassador TO Baghdad, mr, ZHANG said the relations between china and Iraq have made great progress in all fields and we have several companies  working with the ministry of oil importers of Iraq oil.
